She established the dance academy in 1979,
offering all types of dance, voice, special needs, and
performing arts for ages 3 to adult for the past 33
years. She
was
instructed locally by Patsy Bloore in all types of dance
and has studied under many top choreographers on
Broadway such as Debbi Dee, Gus Giordano, Frank
Hatchett, Charles Kelly, Jimmy Tate, and cast performers
from Riverdance Celtic and Lord of the Dance.
Ms. Diane is a certified member of D.E.A and
attends current national workshops from Dance Makers In
Myrtle Beach, Chicago Dance Connection and Broadway
Dance Center in New York.
Ms. Diane and her staff have developed a
professional syllabus, based on nationally and
internationally recognized methods, that are used for
evaluating and placing students in the proper level.
Many of her students have gone on to be
professional performers and dance instructors. Others
have won national high point awards and have received
full scholarships to New York City and other
professional dance companies.
She has students that are currently Radio City
Rockettes, performers with Walt
Disney World, and cruise ship entertainers.
All members of her current staff are former
students of Diane Moore Dance Academy.
About the Studio...
Our
studio offers all styles of dance and performing arts
including tap, jazz, clogging, hip-hop, lyrical, modern,
ballet, pointe, vocal performance, musical theatre,
Performing Arts Troupe and special needs classes.
These classes are for all levels of dance for ages 3 to
adult. In addition, we teach solos, duets, trios, and
small groups.
Our students perform daily at the Kentucky State
Fair and entertain with many spring and Christmas
programs throughout our community.
The studio is very active in Kentucky as well as all
over the country with our dance troupe.
Our dancers have studied and performed in New
York City, Walt Disney World, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach,
Chicago and on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
We have also performed at the Diamond Derby
Celebrity Gala, the Kentucky State Fair, the Louisville
Tonight television show, Kings Island, the Coca-Cola
Talent Competition, and the Louisville Zoo.
We are the Mike Linnig’s Pepsi Entertainers and
also perform for many local organizations,
nursing homes, hospitals, malls and other events.
We have performed on live television for over 20
years on the WHAS Crusade For Children.
We have developed National Champions since 1979.
Our
Miracle Dancers are students with many types of special
needs. They
consist of over 50 dancers and are the featured
highlight on the WHAS Crusade for Children.
They have performed on the Morning Show, the
Jefferson County Public Schools “Back To School
Kickoff”, the National Spina Bifida
Conference, for Governor Ernie Fletcher’s Ky
Employee Charitable Campaign, the Miss Wheelchair KY
Pageant and recently for the National Conference of
Physicians for Spinal Cord Injury Research.
Diane, her staff and the Miracle Dancers were
featured in the April 2008 and May 2009 issue of Dance
Teacher Magazine.
We are currently in the process of creating a
non-profit organization to help support our Miracle
Dancers.
We appreciate the opportunity to teach your child and
hope that we can influence them in a positive and
helpful way for the rest of their lives.
Children are a precious gift and we strive to
make them successful in the performing arts and also in
their daily lives.
